The track-only Gordon Murray Automotive T.50S Niki Lauda has completed its development, and the numbers coming from testing are seriously impressive.

At the Bahrain International Circuit, development driver and three-time Indy 500 winner Dario Franchitti pushed the lightweight machine to a lap time of 1:53.03. According to Gordon Murray Automotive, that’s more than seven seconds faster than a typical GT3 benchmark at the track.
The performance isn’t surprising when you look at the specs. The T.50S weighs under 2000 pounds and uses a naturally aspirated V-12 producing around 725 horsepower. During testing, the car recorded braking forces of 3.0 g and cornering forces of 2.7 g, with a top speed reaching about 184 mph.
Franchitti described the experience as one of the most engaging cars he has ever driven, praising its balance and driver feel on track.
With development now finished, production of the T.50S will begin soon. Only 25 customer cars will be built, each priced at over $3 million, with deliveries expected by mid-2026.
